We want to say a huge thank you to the incredible team at Alchemy Partners, who have raised more than £35,000 in support of Bright Futures UK by taking on the National Three Peaks Challenge.

On 10 September, 11 members of the Alchemy team set themselves an enormous challenge: climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales, all within 24 hours. The challenge covers approximately 25 miles of hiking, more than 3,000 metres of ascent and plenty of travelling between the three peaks against the clock.

And their efforts have produced an incredible result.

More than £35,000 raised

Thanks to the determination of the Alchemy team and the generosity of everyone who supported them, their fundraising total has now passed £35,000, with more than 100 donations made through their JustGiving page.

We are enormously grateful to every member of the team who took part, everyone who donated and all those who helped them along the way.

The funds raised will help Bright Futures UK continue supporting children and young people aged 5 to 24 whose education has been disrupted by serious illness.

For a young person experiencing a long-term physical or mental health condition, illness can mean much more than time away from the classroom. It can also mean losing contact with friends, falling behind with learning and missing out on the routines, confidence and opportunities that education provides.

Through our tutoring, mentoring, befriending and skills-based programmes, we help young people stay connected to their education and their future while they navigate some of the most difficult periods of their lives.

An extraordinary achievement

Taking on the Three Peaks Challenge is no small feat, and choosing to do it in support of our young people makes the Alchemy team’s achievement even more special.

Fundraising partnerships like this allow us to reach more children and young people across the UK and provide personalised support at a time when they need it most.
