Fortura Financial Partners pack over 450 learning packs for young people in hospital

Fortura x BFUK

We were delighted to welcome the Fortura Financial Partners team to our office last week for a day of volunteering, learning and supporting young people whose education has been disrupted by serious illness.

The visit began with an opportunity for our team to share more about Bright Futures UK’s mission. We discussed why missing education due to illness goes beyond the initial absence, affecting young people’s confidence, connections and opportunities as well as their learning.

Supporting learning from hospital beds

The Fortura team then got stuck into preparing more than 450 learning packs to help young people continue learning from their hospital beds.

Their hard work and impressive efficiency will benefit young people across our partner hospitals, helping them stay connected to learning during a difficult time.

Sharing career experiences and advice

Alongside preparing the packs, the team contributed to our mentoring cards by answering questions about their own career journeys.

Through their answers, they shared meaningful advice and highlighted that careers are not always linear. Their experiences will help young people explore the wide range of career options available and recognise that there are many different routes into working life.

A rewarding day for everyone

It was lovely to hear what the Fortura team enjoyed about their visit:

“The team were amazing. I enjoyed learning about the charity in more depth.”

“I enjoyed working on creating the packs.”

“I enjoyed having team bonding and making a difference.”

Thank you to the whole Fortura Financial Partners team for your time, energy and dedication. From preparing learning packs to sharing your career experiences, your contributions will help us support young people whose education has been interrupted by serious illness.

We know that young people in our partner hospitals will appreciate the care and effort you put into supporting their learning.
