Bring creativity, skills, and joy to young people receiving treatment by leading engaging workshops that make hospital stays brighter and more positive.
Lead a workshop
As a Bright Futures UK workshop leader, you’ll design and deliver sessions that encourage expression, build new skills, and give children and young people the chance to try something new.
Lead a workshop
Workshops give young people the chance to step outside their routines and try something new. Whether it’s painting, mindfulness, or career exploration, your session can spark confidence, self-expression, and even a new passion.
Workshops are typically one-off or short series of sessions, delivered online. This makes it easy to fit volunteering around your other commitments while still having a big impact.
Leading workshops helps you build confidence in public speaking, planning, and facilitation. You’ll gain valuable experience in engaging groups, encouraging participation, and adapting to different needs – skills that are useful in any career.
When you run a workshop, you do more than teach a skill – you open a door for a young person to explore, express themselves, and grow. You’ll be supported throughout and become part of a network of volunteers who are passionate about inspiring the next generation.

Volunteer Mentor
I really enjoyed tutoring. I found it very fulfilling, and it taught me a lot. I really hope my tutee continues to achieve all they would want to achieve in the future!
Volunteer Tutor (Biology)
It was a positive experience when my tutee told me that psychology (our subject) had become her favourite subject to study. It goes to show how impactful 1-1 sessions are for young people.

It’s great hearing my young person telling me she looks forward to our sessions and that she’s had a good time every week!
